My work creates an interior space from a different perspective, by abstract visualization of the inside of the human body and the blood vessels and cells that make it up. I use a variety of materials to construct mixed-media installations.
Typically, by using materials with different densities such as thread, canvas fabric and tulle, cells or other internal images can be expressed in various shapes and forms, but without being too obvious.
In order to construct the work, images provided by Cytology and photos from science journals are collected and are then re-visualized as new compositional arrangements, reconfiguring existing forms in an abstract way.
The canvas frame is used as a key component – a geometrical element which is an integral part of the artwork, and not as an object that merely supports the work.
